It’s Halloween and this is my version of goth with the things in my wardrobe. Granted it’s diluted goth but it’s a nod in that direction. The ripped dress was bought as is from Beacon’s Closet (you saw it here before) and I layered it with a bell sleeve knit to show you how I’d winterize it. The drama of a big sleeve made sense under it. Asos has this multi layered dress that would be brilliant instead though. Finished with pointy suede ankle boots and a church
The Chanel 2016/2017 show in Cuba was absolutely brilliant. It makes me proud to be an old school fedora wearer and dipper into menswear. Cropped pants, simple shirts, berets, faded t-shirts and long dresses. Trust me, if I had a big fat cigar I would’ve rocked it as a prop. Grab a cuppa, sit back and get some Cuban inspiration in the video above. Surplus photos on my Instagram (Karenbritchick) on Monday! THE KEYS FROM THE SHOW: Mannish brogues and slides: Michael Kors patent oxfords.
It doesn’t get any easier than a super long cape and old boots for balance. I feel like it takes the pressure off. It’s vintage and modern while having the benefits of an all in one jumpsuit. Nadia’s is from Anthropologie and her boots are Frye (well duh). Good cape options include The Kooples, Urban Outfitters, and Carven. Check the street style page for more outfit ideas.
