I am dreaming of a few pieces of The Line’s current selection for luxe investment pieces. I’ve been a huge fan of Vanessa Traina’s style for a long time and her eye for her buying is flawless! These Manolo Blahniks have been on my wishlist since I first saw them a few months ago….I am sad to say they are sold out of my size. Get yours before they are all gone! This post was made in partnership with The Line, Dermstore, and Tata Harper and contains affiliate links. As
Above: wearing Stuart Weitzman x Gigi Hadid hiking boots with Veronica Beard trench coat vest, vintage turtleneck, and AG skinny jeans. Above wearing Stuart Weitzman x Gigi Hadid hiking boots with Isabel Marant sweater dress and Ralph Lauren drawstring Ricky bag. I am loving the new hiking boots Gigi Hadid has designed for Stuart Weitzman so much! I have been wearing mine for two days straight and I don’t know if I’ve ever had so many compliments on shoes in my life.
The best part of home wardrobe purging is wearing things you hadn’t seen in years. These Olivia Morris tattoo boots for example. Outside of block heel boots, kitten heels are a walking God send which is probably why I kept them. I wore them with this olive dress that reminds me of a similar version from Chloe (for four figures). It was an indian summer when these photos were taken, but for right now you can layer winter leggings underneath, plus a skinny polo and a long wool coat
This is an outfit I had planned in my mind’s eye for a while. I’ve been waiting to wear my Junya Watanabe bomber jacket for months! It is absolutely one of the most treasured pieces in my closet. Wearing Junya Watanbe bomber with a Zara denim skirt, a Madewell white crewneck tee, choker necklace by Kieselstein-Cord, Ralph Lauren drawstring Ricky bag, and Dries van Noten sandals from many years back (shoes from same collection here). I snagged this leopard coat by Carven during Shopbop’s 30% off sale. So glad I did!! This is exactly the coat I need to get me through these next few months. I’m of the opinion that there is never a wrong time for leopard faux fur. The vinyl pockets are an extra cute touch. These jeans have been my go-to skinnies the past two years. They’re by Citizens of Humanity and I own them in two washes. I think I may need another pair Leopard coat by Carven, high waisted jeans by
This is what I wore for the Bill Cunningham memorial on Monday afternoon. The end of the invitation read simply: Dress For Bill, so bright colors it was. For those that don’t know, Bill was really one of the first ever street style photographers who’s prolific work was only ever overshadowed by his incredible sincere and endearing personality. The memorial was a who’s who of guests from Editor in Chiefs of magazines to designers to his colleagues from The New York Times.
How crazy is this 80s Norma Kamali jumpsuit! I got it at A Current Affair in LA this spring. I’m a total freak for Kamali and bought this right away. It’s such a great piece. I wore it out for dinner last week. When I came out of the bedroom my boyfriend was like, “Calm down Brigitte Nielsen in Cobra!! Where’s Sylvester Stallone!!”. That made me laugh. Wearing vintage Norma Kamali jumpsuit wiht a vintage silver cuff and Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain ankle
What did you get up to this weekend? A lot? Nothing? A very special friend is here with me from London so it feels like a slice of home is with me. The above outfit I showed you first on snapchat (karenbritchick) where I am slowly, between that and Instagram stories becoming slightly addicted. The before/after videos of a new wig are on there too. p.s If you order the blouse, it runs small so order up a couple of sizes for slouch. . . . Blouse: H&M (comes in plain white as well).
These boots are some of the all time coolest shoes to me. They are by Rochas and I got them a few years ago, and I still wear them all the time. I wish I had another pair, in case these ever fall apart! I wore them with an awesome 70s lamb fur cardigan one chilly morning this week. I belted it with an old favorite concho belt, and wore it with a beloved Polo Ralph Lauren fringe bag and a Polo tea dress. Try here for a similar pair of boots! I have always loved the combination of brown and navy. This Veda blazer has the most perfect color for fall! These amazing brogues are by the Office of Angela Scott. I’m going to be wearing these all season, I love a brogue for this weather. Wearing Style Nanda dress with Veda blazer, Office of Angela Scott Mr. Leopold brogues, vintage earrings, and Ferragamo Fiamma bag. The post Brown and Navy appeared first on Sea of Shoes. If you’ve been following my blog for a long time, you might have noticed I love to wear the same things over and over again. I’ve had this dress since I was 15 years old. I got it in Tulsa, Oklahoma and it’s too ethereal and dreamy for me to ever part ways with. It appears to be someone’s homemade sewing project. I’m wearing this dress with another throwback from my closet-the Ann Demeuelmeester triple lace up boots! Definitely still my favorite boots of all time.
A look from earlier this week! I have had this skirt for a long time but I never wear it…but on this particular rainy day, it was the perfect thing to brighten my mood. I love that I’m finally able to wear socks and heels again! Wearing with a Clare V. purse, Zara shirt, Rachel Comey heels, and vintage silk scarf. It was cold yesterday, I could hardly believe it when I walked out the door. I had to grab a coat….and I’ve been dying to wear this one for months. My mom gave it to me, it’s from Style Nanda. Last year I got really nostalgic for Miss Sixty. I was so obsessed with everything Miss Sixty in the early 00’s. I remember my favorite jeans were these flaming-Cheetoh-orange Miss Sixty carpenter pants! It was totally the look of that era. I got on eBay and ordered a few pieces of
Fall is creeping in, slowly but surely. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. I can wear jeans without dying and get out all of my favorite boots! I’ve been planning fall outfits in my head all year and this is one I’ve been excited to wear for a while. I’m always in love with Stuart Weitzman’s range of over-the-knee boots and this season’s 70s inspired iteration may be my favorite pair yet. They look so good with a pair of high waisted skinnies for
Just when I was trying to cut back on my vintage buying, I came across this incredible quilted jacket and immediately caved. Note to self: block eBay and Etsy from my browser for at least a week. It really was too unique to pass up. The pastel ribbon detail is killer! I kept it pretty casual with vintage 70s cropped flare jeans, a Miu Miu suede tie-dye bag, and Miu Miu rhinestone slippers (notice how much I love these lately??). Here’s what I wore for fashion week on Saturday. It was 90 but felt like 100. Imagine standing in that for hours with about 200 photographers? I wore an oversized shirt and loose skirt with slides while shooting. I’ll see you again tomorrow morning on Snapchat and Instagram Stories!(karenbritchick) . . . Skirt: Halston Heritage. Similar from BCBGMaxazria (on sale), BooHoo (get the biggest and wear on hips) or Asos. Shirt: Zara. Similar from Ralph Lauren. Slides: Jeffrey
