GET THE LOOK: Hat | Vest | Sweater | Turtleneck | Jeans | Boots | Sunglasses On Saturday, Nate and I bought our first Christmas tree together! It would have been super fun to drive out to a tree farm and cut down our own, but we had a pretty packed weekend, so decided to go to local lot near the apartment. I wanted to look festive so I opted for my favorite little reindeer sweater, which is very holiday-centric because I figured, what better place to wear it when picking out a Christmas tree,
So 2017 was the year that I started YouTube seriously. I say seriously because I’ve had a YouTube channel for about eight years but did videos approx twice a year. Fast forward to almost one year ago (end of 2016 to be exact) and I noticed how much I was consuming YT content plus I realized that there was a hole in my blogging world. No one really heard me speak and to be honest, I wanted to actually talk to you. Up until that moment it’s been seeing me through photography
Now that it is 2018, I will be celebrating my 10th year of blogging this coming September, which is just bananas! The fact that my decade anniversary is just 9 months away, really got me thinking about where I want to take the blog and what I see myself doing with it in the years to come. And therefore lies the purpose of this post…to let you know why I have been a little absent on here lately, which has mostly been attributed to my move and new bicoastal life, a heavier work load and the
Happy Tuesday everyone! I recently returned from a trip to the Adirondacks and let me tell you, it was breathtaking. I am still in the process of editing the rest of my photos, but in the meantime, I wanted to give you a really quick sneak peek of whats to come. Stay tuned for more later this week! xo The post Sneak Peek: Weekend Trip to the Adirondacks appeared first on My Style Pill. SOURCE: My Style Pill - Read entire story here.
Just a few photos from this past weekend in New Jersey. We had a wedding last Saturday but went a day early so we could spend it at the beach and relax a bit. The sunset over the bay was pretty incredible! Click through to see more photos… Just a casual beach house. Can I move in? Please and thank you. Sitting on the dock of the bay…with a beer. Check out those colors! (This photo has not been touched up or edited.) All dressed up for Lynnie’s wedding! In other
Last Monday my Mom came into town from Seattle! We spent the week running around to fashion week parties, sightseeing, hanging around (and organizing) the apartment and generally just having a really fun time together roaming about the city. Here are some photos from our week and weekend if you’d like to see… I was Italy for most of Fashion Week, but I did catch one of my favorite designer’s shows when I got back. Her pieces were beautiful! My new Nanette Lepore blouse,
This time last year I decided to post a new red lip beauty post every day for the entire month of May. Why? May is #kissgoodbytoms month, a month to wear a red lip and spread the word about Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that affects mostly women, with my mum included. Wearing: Camilla and Marc blazer, Camilla and Marc leather skirt, Alaia heels This year i’ve gone a little less ambitious (30 red lip portraits was a lot) but I still want to do my part. As an official #kissgoodbyetoms
I remember going to see Prince in Wembley stadium in England years ago well before I moved to the United States. I had listened to his albums for years. Easy to say because his music is the kind that you can do that with. I remember taking my place in the stadium and noticing that the stage was round and set in the middle so that the audience would surround him. When he came out I almost lost it. Already a massive fan, my expectations were high but to say that he surpassed them is a joke.

Outside of friends and family, nobody knows what I am about tell you: Michael and I met online by pure accident. Whenever we tell anyone our story, their jaw hits the floor in disbelief: “this should be a movie!!” Being it’s February 14th, I’m going to tell you too: Before moving to New York, I worked in London at an advertising agency where I received a random junk email. I call it junk because it was a mass invitation to the opening of a night club in New York. I
Today’s post is near and dear to my heart because not only does it have to do with talking about empowerment and confidence, but today and tomorrow, 10% of sales from the blog will be donated to a wonderful nonprofit organization called Dress for Success, with ShopStyle matching 100% of my contribution! That’s a $1 for a $1! So awesome, right? For those of you that haven’t heard of Dress for Success, it is a non-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic
You guys! I just realized that this blog of mine turns 7 today! What the what?! I knew that I started it in September of 2008, but didn’t realize that today was the 4th (blame it on vacation brain) until about five minutes ago and immediately created this post. Sorry if it looks wonky for any reason – I’m working off my phone! Anyway, I just want to say a VERY heartfelt thank you to you all, my dear and loyal and supportive readers. Without you, this blog would not be what it
Photo by: My Dad :) I arrived in Seattle yesterday morning and spent the day with my family. I have been really nervous about coming back because I don’t remember being in this house without Barney… Whenever I came home, we were attached at the hip – he slept on the bed with me for goodness sake! So, you can imagine my apprehension as to how I was going to feel and react walking back through the door to a home I love so much but that is now missing such a vibrant part of it
As almost all of you know, last week was a rough one. Barney, our family dog passed away, so I decided I needed to take a few days off and just focus on the fact that it was Casey’s Birthday. Luckily I had something planned every night starting Wednesday (his actual Birthday), which really took my mind off things, and we went full steam ahead until Sunday evening… I documented some of the festivities on Snapchat and Instagram but these photos were taken on Saturday when Casey and I
The three questions I’ve been asked the most over the past few weeks go something like this: What is Major Zhang? (He’s my kid brother and he’s cooler than you and I, simply by virtue of his first name). I thought you were in [insert overseas location] not [insert location of conversation]? (Nope – right here. Currently: Sydney). Are you the girl on the bus stop ads? (Yes indeed! Our Clinique campaign remains surreal). The fourth, and most important, is: why don’t
